DIRECTOR’S MESSAGE
The Laboratory of Molecular and Conservation Genetics housed in the Department of Zoology, Government Vidarbha Institute of Science and Humanities, Amravati, Maharashtra, India. The laboratory is dedicated to the use of advanced conservation genetic tools and techniques with focus on non-invasive methodology to address questions related to IUCN protected Indian species ranging from vulnerable to endangered. The Amravati city is one of the major city in the Vidarbha region of Maharashtra state in India. The Government Vidarbha Institute of Science and Humanities is one of the twelve higher education Institute managed by the government of Maharashtra. The Institute was established in 1923 and offer bachelors and master degree in subjects ranging from arts, science and humanities.
